This Privacy Policy explains how Hank Technologies Inc. (“Hank,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information in connection with the Hank application, website at www.tellhank.com, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). The Service helps construction field teams capture, structure, and submit daily logs through voice and text message.
By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide
Account and contact information — your name, company or employer, job title, email address, and mobile phone number.
Log content — the voice recordings, transcripts, text messages, photos, and notes you submit when creating daily logs (for example, manpower, deliveries, weather, safety events, and site conditions).
Communications — messages you send to us, including SMS/text messages exchanged with Hank and support requests.
Information collected automatically
Usage and device data — log files, device identifiers, IP address, browser and operating system type, and how you interact with the Service.
Cookies and similar technologies — used to operate the Service, remember preferences, and understand usage.
Information from integrations
Connected systems of record — when you authorize Hank to connect to a third-party platform such as Procore or Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), we access and exchange the project and log data needed to submit your logs, at your direction.
2. How We Use Information
To provide, operate, and improve the Service, including capturing, structuring, and submitting your daily logs.
To send you service-related text messages, including acknowledgments and confirmations of your logs and follow-up questions needed to complete a log.
To authenticate you, maintain your account, and provide customer support.
To monitor, secure, and troubleshoot the Service and prevent fraud or abuse.
To comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
3. SMS / Text Messaging
If you provide your mobile phone number and opt in, Hank will exchange text messages with you to confirm your daily logs, acknowledge submissions, and ask follow-up questions needed to complete your records. Message frequency varies based on your activity. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help. See our Terms of Service for the full SMS terms.
Mobile information sharingNo mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All of the categories of information described in this Privacy Policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are never sold, rented, or shared with anyone for any purpose other than providing the messaging itself.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as described below:
Service providers — vendors who process data on our behalf to operate the Service, such as cloud hosting, telephony and messaging (for example, Twilio for SMS delivery), speech-to-text processing, analytics, and customer support. These providers are bound by contract to use the information only to provide services to us.
Integrations you authorize — when you connect Hank to a system of record (for example, Procore or ACC), we transmit your log and project data to that platform at your direction.
Your organization — if you use Hank through an employer or company account, your log content and account information may be accessible to that organization.
Legal and safety — when required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Hank, our users, or others.
Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this Privacy Policy.
As stated above, none of this sharing includes text messaging opt-in data or consent, and no mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
5. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. We retain proof of SMS consent at least until you withdraw it. You may request deletion of your information as described below.
6. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Choices and Rights
SMS opt-out — reply STOP to any Hank text message to stop receiving texts. Reply HELP for help.
Access, correction, deletion — you may request to access, correct, or delete your personal information by contacting us using the details below.
Cookies — you can adjust your browser settings to refuse cookies, though some features may not function properly.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws (such as the California Consumer Privacy Act). To exercise any right, contact us using the information below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
8. Children's Privacy
The Service is intended for business use by adults and is not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Third-Party Services
The Service may link to or integrate with third-party services that we do not control. Their use of your information is governed by their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them.
10. Changes to This Policy
